In-Situ Pipeline Coating & Cleaning Solutions

Restore, Protect, and Extend the Life of Your Pipelines — Minimally Invasive, Maximally Effective

Trusted by oil & gas, mining, water infrastructure, and industrial operators worldwide.

EnerClear provides industry-leading in-situ pipeline cleaning and in-situ pipeline coating services designed to restore, protect, and extend the life of your pipelines. Our progressive pigging process combines mechanical and chemical cleaning to remove sand, scale, rust, wax, and other buildup, ensuring your lines are fully prepared for pipeline coating.

Once cleaned to specification, we apply high-performance epoxy coatings engineered for long-lasting durability, even in the most challenging onshore and offshore environments. Every project is custom-designed to match your pipeline’s media, condition, and life-cycle requirements, delivering reliable protection against corrosion, wear, and harsh operating conditions.

Why EnerClear is the Choice for Pipeline Rehabilitation

EnerClear specializes in in-situ cleaning and coating of pipelines, providing advanced protection and restoration without major shutdowns. Our tailored solutions help industrial operators:

  • Reduce maintenance costs and downtime
  • Extend pipeline service life
  • Improve flow efficiency and throughput
  • Reduce the need for chemical inhibitors and frequent pigging

We work with medium to large pipelines (2”–36” diameter, up to 15 km in a single section) across high-stakes industries. Every project is engineered to match pipeline characteristics, current conditions, and life-cycle requirements.

Our In-situ Pipeline Cleaning & Coating Process

How EnerClear Restores & Protects Pipelines

Step 1: Mechanical Cleaning

We start with mechanical cleaning using pigs, flushes, and solvents to remove sand, scale, rust, and wax. Effluent samples are monitored after each pass to ensure pipeline cleanliness before moving to chemical preparation.

Step 2: Chemical Preparation

Acid etching removes remaining debris and creates an ideal anchor profile for the pipeline coating. Using inhibited HCl between pigs, we achieve a NACE #1 White Metal or NACE #2 Near White Metal visual finish, ensuring the pipeline is ready for coating.

Step 3: Coating Application

A two-part epoxy coating is batched into the pipeline and forced onto the pipe wall via controlled pressure. Multiple pass flood coating builds up 8+ mils of dry film thickness without significantly reducing pipeline ID. Controlled travel ensures uniform coverage, including welds, bends, and pits.

Step 4: Quality Assurance

We maintain detailed records of dry-film thickness (DFT) and inspect the line to ensure optimal protection, corrosion prevention, and improved flow efficiency.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of in-situ coating compared to pipe replacement?

In-situ coating significantly reduces downtime, eliminates the need for excavation, and restores internal integrity at a fraction of the cost of replacement. It also improves flow efficiency and long-term corrosion resistance.

What pipeline sizes and fluids can EnerClear handle?

We handle pipelines from 2”–36” in diameter and up to 15 km in length, carrying oil, natural gas, CO₂, sour gas, water, or multiphase emulsions and many other pipeline media.

How long does the coating last?

Our epoxy coatings are engineered to provide long-lasting protection, significantly extending pipeline life for up to 25 years.
