HOW DOES ENERCLEAR'S INSITU COATING PROCESS WORK?
Our coating process uses a similar method to our cleaning in-which the coating is batched into the pipeline in a slug or pill between two pigs under pressure and at a controlled rate of travel. This method forces the coating onto the pipe wall using this pressure, which fills any defects or pits.
TWO-PART EPOXY COATING
We use a two-part epoxy coating that is engineered and vetted to your pipeline’s cargo conditions to provide a homogenized coating throughout your entire pipeline. This process is only completed once we’ve achieved a white metal finish on the interior of your line.
CONTROLLED TRAVEL SPEED
The travel/speed of pigs and coating material are carefully controlled to ensure uniform, homogenous thin film coating application. This includes covering welds, bends, and any existing pitting to provide the best coverage and protection possible.
WE UTILIZE A MULTIPLE PASS FLOOD COAT SYSTEM.
Our multiple pass flood coat system builds up Dry-Film Thickness (DFT), ensuring an even protective coating. We keep detailed records of DFT following each pass. The Final Dry-Film Thickness is 8+ mils (thousandths of an inch), keeping the majority of the pipeline ID intact.
